Mills Bros (Milbro)

Mills Brothers, often known as Milbro, was founded in 1919 in Sheffield. Millbro produced track, wooden wagons and coaches, plus locomotives. These were mostly in Gauge 0, with some Gauge 1. The locomotives were to a relatively high standard, and hence price. The wooden coaches were something of a company speciality, with kits of parts as well as completed coaches being available. Those for the LNER were finished in varnish, and were not painted. Interiors were fitted to some coaches, in particular dining cars. In common with most of the traditional Gauge 0 manufacturers, Milbro ceased trading in the late 1960s.
