Restoration

Bassett-Lowke model railway items are now at least 40 or so years old, with many of considerably greater age. Time inevitably takes its toll, and many items have been poorly treated at some time in their existence. The continued running of these items depends to a large degree on the availability of spare parts, and a key benefit of membership of the Bassett-Lowke Society is the provision of the spares directory, which gives access to spares, restoration and repair sevices. A further key factor is the efforts of the limited number of restoration experts. A few examples of their work are illustrated on this page.
